Linden honey has a strong and very distinctive aroma, much stronger than you’d expect from its light color. At first sniff, linden has an unmistakable fresh woodlands smell, and then hints of menthol, camphor or mint emerge.

Our bee hives are located in northwestern parts of Bulgaria in the middle of an plum tree orchard which is surrounded by wild vegetation, mostly wildflowers. Every harvest is being subject of laboratory tests which help us to maintain high quality.

The main uses of honey are in cooking, baking, desserts, as a spread on bread, as an addition to various beverages such as tea, and as a sweetener in some commercial beverages.

Honey crystalizes in time, it becomes “set” and hardenes its texture. This process is reversible. The melting point of crystallized honey is between 40 and 50 °C (104 and 122 °F), depending on its composition. Below this temperature, honey can be either in a metastable state, meaning that it will not crystallize until a seed crystal is added, or, more often, it is in a “labile” state, being saturated with enough sugars to crystallize spontaneously. The easiest and best way to melt your honey is to put the container with honey into a bowl with water and put it on the stove at lowest level. It is important not to boil the water as you can lose some of the benefits of the honey.

Benefits of linden honey vary here are some of them: cough suppressant, antioxidant, seasonal allergies. In past honey has been used as natural medicine.

Warning! Not suitable for infants under 12 months. Honey may contain honeycomb.
